Easy accessible gardens house less accessible due to age. Lovely calm place with lots of spring colour. Shame some of the gardens were closed for refurbishment but will have to come back and see them!

A treasure in North Yorkshire. Staff are friendly and there is a lot to see. In the top rooms of the house there is usually an art exhibition.

A great place to visit with an excellent tea room. You can combine a visit with a 7k circular walk with views over the howardian hills.

We visited in late October. It has an interesting house and a relatively small, but nice garden with some autumn interest and still some things flowering. The tea rooms are excellent and staff very friendly - we had a delicious lunch and then after exploring the house & garden we returned for coffee & cake. Small climbing frame for younger children only, but our kids had fun with the archery sets. Would like to see the garden again in the summer.

Visited during their Autumn fair, saw apple juice being made, lots of stalls selling local products. The inside of the Hall is well worth a visit with welcoming NT people giving out information on the various rooms

A lovely place in an idyllic setting, beautifully decorated inside for autumn. The volunteers were, as always in NT properties, so caring and knowledgeable about the house.
